Gajar Mooli ke Parathe - Easy Carrot and Raddish Parathas

Gajar Mooli ke Parathe

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 30 minutes | Total Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

Whole Wheat Atta - 2 Cups (makes 10 to 12 parathas)

Grated Carrot - 1/4th Cup

Grated Radish - 1/4th Cup

Coriander (finely chopped) - 2 tablespoons

Ginger and green chilly paste - 2 tablespoons

Salt as per taste 

Desi Cow Ghee - 4-5 tablespoons

Kalonji - 1 tablespoon (optional)

How to make easy Gajar Mooli ke Parathe?

Step 1 - Knead the atta

In a big bowl, take the Atta

Add grated carrots and radish. On the veggies, add salt

Knead without adding any water

Now add the Ginger chilly paste and coriander

Add 1 tablespoon of ghee and start kneading a semi-soft dough.

Add water if required.

Step 2 - Rest the Atta

Take little amount of ghee and smear it on the dough.

Cover the bowl with a damp cloth or lid 

Allow the atta to rest for at least 15 minutes

Step 3 - Making the Parathas

Make lemon sized balls of the dough

Dip them in dry atta and start rolling using a rolling pin

Once the paratha is rolled to half, sprinkle some Kalonji on them and keep rolling until paratha is ready

The thickness of the paratha should be 1mm

Roast it on a tawa on both sides by applying 1/2 teaspoon of ghee on each side

Step 4 - Serve the Paratha

This Paratha pairs best with chilled Raita and Lemon Pickle.
